Received on the occasion of Mariemont's 50th Anniversary. Mr. White was a resident of Mariemont from 1927-1934 on Petoskey Ave, then Murray Ave. He was in Scouts, caddied at the Golf Course, set up bowling pins at the Rec (Parish) Center, delivered the Mariemont Messenger, snuck through the sewer line to Dale Park, and lost a friend to drowning in a nearby creek. Mr. White, Sr, was the asst manager of the Inn, and a Scoutmaster. His aunt, Annette Campbell Shaw, kindergarten teacher at Dale Park School, lived on Albert Place, then Sheldon Close. |
